So, now you know how we spent our spring break this year. The kid's had a week off during the 15th through 19th of March. We decided to go to Primm, Nevada to one of the 3 casino hotels there. We couldn't resist with the $6.00 per night hotel stay...so we got two rooms, one for Tom & I and one for the kids...next to each other! (You can have fun at a casino WITHOUT gambling...there's always plenty to do!) The shuttle took us to the outlet mall but really it was no problem to walk there either...only a block or two away. You'll know by the pictures that we had wonderful weather. The kids went on the "Desperado Roller Coaster", noted as the world's tallest in the 2006 Guiness Book of World Records Book. 220 feet at it's tallest. The other "tall" ride was the "Turbo Drop" which rises 180 feet and "drops" you down. Unfortunately all the rides were not open due to lack of people and employees but by next week (spring break for most) they'll have all the rides going. But, Malia has several bruises to prove her ride on Desperado!!!! It goes 90 mph down the large hill down into a dark tunnel. Thanks but no thanks.
