Gorgeous Day on the Lake

What could be nicer than an afternoon on Lake Havasu?
A balmy 113 degrees outside, the lake is calm, theres not
very many boats out, the lake temperature is 89 degrees.
Put all that together and take a swim, wakeboard or wake
skate........awwwwwwww........it was lovely out there today!

More Baby Names Anyone?

This week's baby names are in and for lack of
something better to write, I'll share the new
little one's names born in our area:

Girls:
Paisley Skye Sartin
Maddison Brooke Hovdal
Saylor Ann Stephens
Lilly Mae DeLeon
Tabitha Joeli Gonzalez
Trista Lynn Smith

Boys:
Devin James Downing
Jesse Anthony Flores
Izayah Rome Flores
(The two Flores boys are
separate parents/families).

I got to meet Saylor Ann this week
at 5 days old. Her mama works (ed)
at the gym and brought her in to show
off...what a little doll!

Weather - or Not

Havasu's 10-year forcast:
Hot and dry with a slight
chance of rain!

Ha ha, this was an actual
article in our paper today.
This weatherman has done
a study and determined this
for our future...the next 10
years!

Duh...that is very TYPICAL
weather for us...I actually
could have done that news
article, gotten lots of credit
for it and appeared "brilliant"...
NOT!

6th Anniversary Living in Arizona

Today is our 6th anniversary of living in Arizona
and living in our home here. Wow! Time flys when
you're having fun! August 6, 2010

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sunshine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
An Irish Blessing.

SWEET!

Everytime I drive down the street and see the
neighbors house with these cute umbrellas protecting
their Sago Palms from the scorching sun, it brings a
smile to my face and I wish I had brought my camera
along to share with you. I've never seen this sweet idea
as normally people will put netting or a sheet...but it just
doesn't look very nice...these are just so cute! Such a
clever idea.

Silly Boys!

Two Jacks! (Big Jack and Little Jack)
think they belong ON the bed!
For a long time, the guys have called Derek
"Chicken Wing" because he is slender-built.
Discount Tire has very high standards for
their employees, etc. Well anyway, one of
Derek's managers, Joel, decided to play a
trick (Derek was in the know) and Joel had
his wife machine embrodiary "Chickenwing"
on his work shirt! They didn't tell anyone else.
Derek said they haven't made him get rid of the
shirt, but some of the other managers have
certainly given him some "looks"...and they do
check them out daily, NO facial hair, NO visible
tattoos, NO long hair (clean shaven), NO untucked
or unkempt work clothes...the list goes on...
so Joel and Derek weren't sure if this would "fly"...
But they're still testing their wings on this one! Ha ha
