February Days...

Derek would lay a piece of popcorn on his leg
and Jack would come and eat it...he enjoyed it
just as much or more than Dad and Derek.
Glad they didn't start trying to give Jack
some of grandpa's orange soda!

Tom checking out the new guitar I got him
for his 50th birthday (February 2nd). The
big 5 - 0. He felt just like me, no difference
from 49! He'd taken a little interest in Malia's
guitar and so I wanted to get him one that he
could play around with and maybe pick-up a
few notes here and there.

Checkin' it out.

A happy picture of the folks. They came on November
13th (2009) and now they have told us that they plan
to leave for Seattle around the first of March. That's only
a week from now. Wow...it'll be lonely around here with-
out them. We have enjoyed their time here and now we'll
have to wait for their visit down South this coming winter.

Is Change Really that Good?

Sometimes our words come back to "bite" us or "haunt" us, and on my February 2nd Blog entry I said that change is sometimes good...and at that point I agreed and still do, until it comes up front and personal. I have had a difficult week and a half since Malia has moved away from home. Her and Tom weren't seeing "eye" to "eye" and this sounds maybe a little crude, but it might be something like "my house, my rules"....."you fit into the rules, the standards, etc. of the home and you get to enjoy the benefits of home"...No BIG or major thing happened I guess, it was more a build-up of things that eventually came to the point where Malia was relieved to not be under the same roof as Tom and I believe the feeling was mutual with him. But this mom here has had a hard time having her "baby" away from home especially since she is still in school. She is living in an apartment with another 17 year old girl. Since Tom didn't let her take the car, she is getting rides to/from school, to/from work by me or Daniel or Derek. Tom feels that there can be some benefit and growth if right choices are made in the situation. Hopefully that will happen...we talk or text or see each other most days, so that helps. She and Daniel both plan to graduate this December, both are doing well in school...so lets hope that stays that way. Have appreciated all the love and support from our friends here that know and love all of us and know the situation.

Change is sometimes Fun and Sometimes Good.

Malia gave me this and have it up in the Kitchen Eating Area.
In the kitchen eating area.
Does some of this look familar Anna?

Added the Wall Words. I love them, and when I get
tired of them they come down easily. Put this up above
the kitchen table eating area and changed my
valances.
Remember the "Mom" sign Anna?

Jane gave me this Scentsy Warmer. You put fragrance
tablets in it, turn on the "Night Light" and it makes the
room smell nice a good.

Just picked up this End-Table at a furniture store
in town thats going out of business. Thought it
was kind of cute! But don't sit on it or it will
become flattened!

Had to get the Christmas stuff down and so it was time to
put my Spring Themed stuff up. I love Spring, and yes,
I know it's only February, but in Arizona, it certainly
seems and feels like spring.

Happy 50th Birthday...my groundhog

Today, Tuesday, Tom and Derek went with some of the
fellows for a desert ride out to Jupiter Mine. They left
from here (home) and are still gone as I post this. It's
Tom's 50th birthday today...a half a century. Wow!
Thanks for spending over half of your life with me, it's
been GRAND, Sweetie Pie!!!

The BOY that hates the camera...

I got that Dan-0 boy (left) to smile...yay!!!
Big feat for this ole' mom...he cringes when I
get out the camera...but I told him that his
sis, Anna, wanted to see the new shirt she
sent him...so why not get ALL the kids!
This was Sunday morning before meeting.
Way to go Bro...love the smile...a real one!
I heard Daniel say to Derek..."Now watch,
Mom is going put these on her Blog"...
ha ha, sorry boys!

Derek headed out to gas up the new RZR. Has the new
doors on it now with the new AZ flag. It's so much
fun and a real SMOOTH ride...grandpa even went out
in it today and had a ball! :-)
