Daniel's Graduation Pictures - 2011

Malia's boss at Cool Beans took the kids pictures and I thought she did a great job.  She put them on individual discs.  She didn't put a copyright on them so I can get whatever pictures printed that I want.

Malia's Graduation Pictures - 2011

Just a few of the 100+ photo's that Malia's boss took of her for her graduation pictures.  She did a great job I thought.  It was really hard to narrow it down and choose.  Also the same dilema with Daniel's pictures!

Easter Posies

Derek came to Havasu this weekend.  He had planned to go to California with Taylor and her family to her grandma's.  However, they ended-up not going to her grandmas and so Derek and Taylor came over today for Sunday lunch after meeting.  I made a corned-beef in the crock-pot with Yukon-gold potatoes, apple-cabbage salad w/walnuts, and rolls.  They went to Taylor's aunt and uncles for 2:00 prime-rib dinner.  Nothing like two Sunday dinner's  in a row! ha ha  Taylor also brought me a cinnamon candle, and they brought a chocolate bunny.

Ever Chatted with a BILLIONAIRE? No, I haven't either!

This picture appears to be ON Derek's computer screen, actually it's a snapshot and it is sitting on his computer desk next to his computer monitor...I just set it by the monitor to take a picture of the picture... :)
It's a picture of the OWNER of the Discount Tire Stores.  He is ONE of only FIVE billionaires in the whole state of Arizona.  I asked Derek if he acted like a "big wig" and he said actually no, that he was a pretty humble man.  You might think a billionaire would have security around him, but here he is in the little town of Show Low...visiting with the employees at Discount Tire.  Derek said you wouldn't know he had that kind of money. I think Derek said he lives in Phoenix.  Their new store in Show Low on the first day set a record for the whole state of Arizona in one day sales of $45,000. and some change.  It was pretty exciting for them.

Church Readerboard

"Retirement is twice the husband and half the money"

We drive by this readerboard mostly everyday...you'd think they would have something spiritual on a church board but they almost NEVER do...strange it seems to me.  Anyway, they sometimes have something strange, or something dumb or something silly...but I thought this one today was kinda fitting for us...smile :)

SNOW in Arizona on April 9th, 2011!!!!!!

Derek & Taylor (his girlfriend)

I was peeking out of Derek's bedroom window at the snow in the morning after it had started snowing.  The forcast for that day was 100% chance of snow.  Show Low, AZ is at 6400 feet elevation and is in the mountains and the pine trees.  Very pretty!

Derek Said they ended-up with about 6 inches of snow that day.  We left after lunch as we wanted to be home for Sunday...(yesterday).

This is looking up their street.  Derek's girlfriend, Taylor lives in Havasu.  She'd come over with us.

Our Suburban getting a fresh coat of snow.

Jack hasn't seen snow in a while!

This picnic table is on the property where Derek and his roommates live.  Tom and I just sold our boat to a couple of brothers in Iowa that found it on Craig's List.  They were the FIRST people to call on it.  It was listed on a Friday night.  They called on it Saturday afternoon.  Long story short...and a "bazillion" phone calls and over 50 e-mailed pictures later...Tom agreed to tow the boat to Apache Junction out of Phoenix to one of the brother's in-laws IF they would pay for our gas.  Sounded good to them.  The brothers then hired a driver to deliver the boat to Iowa.  Signed, sealed and delivered.  Boat sold!  We also sold our travel trailer on Craigs list as well just the week before we sold our boat! And the month before that, we sold one of our quads on Craig's List.  Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!  It sure feels good to be down sizing.  All our kids are leaving home, its time to be doing this!

T-Ball Kiddo's...O'so Cute!

Justin (Daddy) and Wade at 3rd base.  And the only little girl on the team to the right of Justin.

 Wade is a "lefty".......S-W-I-N-G!
The game is over.  Everyone plays and everyone wins when you're four and five years old.

Brothers, Wade (5) and Wyatt (3).

Wade in T-Ball position!

This sweet family is coming to meetings here in Havasu.  Justin grew up going to meetings but never professed.  I've had fun getting to know Jessica and the little boys.  Oh, they have such a hard time sitting still in meetings, but really they are doing pretty fantastic for never really having had much time doing it.  I try to have a little treat waiting for them when its over.  Wyatt is a little peeved in these pictures because he doesn't get to play ball since he is only 3 and not old enough to play T-ball like his brother.  He just doesn't understand the concept that even though he can do everything that his brother can do that the age limit doesn't allow him to do it.  The grapes and little fishy crackers and his grandpa (Jessica's dad taking him for a walk) eventually got him out of his funk! ha ha.
