The Thrills of Wakeboarding...

We made a day trip to Mexico this morning. Malia and I

both needed to see the dentist, I needed to get my glasses

checked there and we needed to get some more RX's...

Algodones, Mexico meets all of those needs quite nicely.

It was a super hot day though...on our way home we saw

116 degrees. Sounds "mild" compared to yesterday's

RECORD temperature for Havasu of 128 degrees back

in 1994. Derek only had to work until 2:30 today, so

what better thing to do than to get home and get the

boat loaded-up and head for the lake. It is lovely out

there...the lake temp is 83 degrees. Very refreshing.

We threw anchor, brought our "floaties" and bobbed

around....after Derek wakeboarded. Malia didn't feel

like going and Daniel had to work. Poor kid!

HOT TAMALES...

It was nice and toasty on Friday...

And this is only the BEGINNING of summer!

It will get much warmer than this. Always glad

for a little breeze (which Havasu OFTEN has) but

anything over 110 degrees with a breeze, it feels

like a BLAST FURNACE in your face.

A Fuzzy Father's Day

I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom and

picked-up my glasses to put them on. I held them up

to my eyes and they seemed very blurry, and I thought

"whoa" these are dirty...so I looked again, and realized

I needed to clean them. So I dutifully put liquid soap and

running warm water on them and dried them with my

soft, cotton cloth as I normally clean them. Put them

on and "whoa"...still fuzzy. Oops, I remembered that

MY glasses were on the headboard of our bed and I

was looking through Tom's glasses! Sneaky way to

get your glasses cleaned, Sweetie-Pie! Hope you had

a happy father's day! Love ya much!
PS: Mine and Tom's glasses look a lot alike just that

his are a little bigger than mine!!!

Anna, doesn't this one remind you of Europe?

All the pictures above and below are painted on walls

or buildings as murals. I don't know who painted them

and they are pictures of pictures...but I really do love

to see them. It's fun when you come into a town or

city and see someone's "masterpiece" out where every

one can see and enjoy it. Seattle has some, also Connell,

Washington. There are plenty. I know the hours, days,

weeks and sometimes months that have gone into these.

This is one of my favorites!

the lake and 83 in the channel.

Thats what several 100 degree

days will do for our lake water!

We think they're closer to the
lake these days because its so
hot out they need to come down
to get water.








At the entrance of Copper Canyon...
A sober reminder of what NOT to do
when you've been drinking too much
alcohol and that is to jump from a high
cliff above onto the rocks below...
hitting the rocks instead of the water.
The rocks will always "win" even with
a professional surfer who died in this
incident.







The cove at Copper Canyon is so beautiful
on Lake Havasu...
so calm and peaceful
until the weekend or a
holiday and it turns into a
big party!

We had visitors!

My niece, Joy and her husband Dave and their

four young'uns came for the night on their way

through to California to Dave's family.

They are moving from Missouri up to

Renton, WA with hopes that Dave

can find a job there. They will be

living with my Sis, Alice and Dave

for awhile.
